Canadian is a tiny Oklahoma town of 225 people in Pittsburg County, about 15 miles northeast of McAlester via Highway 2. It sits in the South Canadian River valley amid the rolling Ouachita foothills. The town is named after the river that flows just south of the community and originally drew settlers to this remote spot.
