Camptown is a small farming community in southeastern Virginia's Isle of Wight County, home to 834 people about 15 miles southwest of Suffolk. Route 58 runs right through town, connecting east to Norfolk and Virginia Beach or west toward Emporia. Most visitors arrive via Route 460 south or local roads like Route 616, with I-664 access about 20 miles northeast. The town sits along the historic Blackwater River, where ancient cypress trees still mark the waterway that powered early mills.
