Campti is a small Red River town in northwestern Louisiana, about 20 miles south of Shreveport via Highway 1 from Interstate 49. The town sits at the intersection of several rural highways connecting east Texas to central Louisiana. Most visitors arrive on Highway 1, the main north-south route through Natchitoches Parish, or Highway 84 from Coushatta. The historic steamboat landing along the Red River recalls the town's 19th-century role as a cotton and timber shipping point.
