Campbell is a small farming town in south-central Nebraska, population 268, sitting along Highway 136 in Franklin County. Most visitors arrive via Highway 136 from Minden (15 miles east) or take Highway 14 south from Hastings (25 miles north). The town lies in the Republican River valley surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Campbell's historic grain elevator remains a prominent landmark, towering over the prairie and still processing grain from local farms.
