Camden sits along US Highway 79 in south-central Arkansas, about 100 miles southwest of Little Rock. The main routes are US 79 running north-south through downtown and US 278 providing east-west access. State Highway 4 offers a scenic drive from Hot Springs through pine forests. The city serves as Ouachita County's seat along the Ouachita River, surrounded by rolling timberlands. Camden houses the nation's only rocket fuel manufacturing plant.
