Calvert is a small Robertson County town of 760 people located 15 miles southeast of Bryan-College Station on Highway 6. Most visitors drive up from Austin (90 miles) or down from Dallas via nearby Interstate 45. The restored 1902 railroad depot now serves as a museum showcasing the town's history as a major rail junction during Texas's cotton boom era.
