Callender is a small farming town of about 400 people in north-central Iowa's Webster County. Highway 20 runs east-west through town, connecting to Fort Dodge (12 miles west) and Webster City (25 miles east), while US Highway 30 to the south provides access to Ames and Des Moines. The town's working grain elevator still operates today, serving as both a functional agricultural facility and a landmark of Iowa's farming heritage.
