Callaway is a small farming town in central Nebraska's sandhills, sitting right on Highway 2 about 60 miles northwest of Grand Island. Most people pass through on Highway 2, which runs east-west as the town's main drag, connecting Broken Bow and North Platte with the eastern part of the state. The massive grain elevator dominates the skyline and serves as a landmark you can see for miles across the flat prairie.
