Calera is a small Oklahoma city of 3,000 people located along US Highway 69/75 in Bryan County. The main route connects north to McAlester and south to Durant, about 12 miles away, where you'll find Durant Regional Airport. State Highway 7 provides east-west access across the county. The city hosts an annual Founder's Day barbecue cook-off each September that attracts visitors from throughout the region.
