Caldwell is a small Essex County town about 20 miles west of NYC, accessible via I-280 Exit 5B or Route 23. Popular routes include quick trips to Newark (15 minutes south) and scenic drives to Montclair along Bloomfield Avenue. The rolling, wooded area serves as a gateway to South Mountain Reservation hiking trails. The town is home to the Grover Cleveland Birthplace, where the only U.S. President to serve non-consecutive terms was born in 1837.
