Caldwell is a small farming town in south-central Kansas, located 30 miles south of Wichita on US Highway 81. Most visitors pass through on the Wichita-to-Oklahoma route, while Highway 49 connects the town east-west across Sumner County. The original 1880s street grid and historic railroad-era buildings still define the town center.
