Caldwell is Canyon County's seat in Idaho's Treasure Valley, 30 miles west of Boise via I-84. The interstate connects to Portland and Salt Lake City, while Highway 20/26 heads north to Oregon. Local traffic uses Caldwell and Cleveland Boulevards. The College of Idaho's historic red-brick campus sits right downtown, founded in 1891.
