Byron is a small Minnesota city 10 miles northwest of Rochester, easily reached via Highway 14 from the Twin Cities (90 miles) or Rochester International Airport (15 miles southeast). Most traffic uses Highway 14 east-west or Highway 52 north-south for regional connections. The city operates one of Minnesota's few remaining municipal liquor stores in a red brick building downtown.
