Byng is a small Oklahoma town of about 1,300 people located 15 miles southeast of Ada via Highway 1. Most visitors arrive from Oklahoma City using I-35 south to Highway 19 east, or from Tulsa via Highway 69 south through McAlester. Ada Regional Airport is 15 miles northwest for air travelers. The town preserves a historic one-room schoolhouse from 1902 that now operates as a community museum.
