Butler is a tiny community in northeastern South Dakota with just two residents, making it one of America's smallest incorporated places. Located about 25 miles southeast of Webster, it's reached via US Highway 12 and county roads through rolling farmland. Most visitors arrive from Watertown (40 miles) or take I-29 north from Sioux Falls then US-12 west for about 120 miles.
