This tiny Kansas prairie town sits 12 miles west of Emporia via US-50, then north on county roads. Most visitors arrive from Emporia, the county seat, while locals make short trips between neighboring farm communities. The rolling hills around Bushong showcase classic Flint Hills landscape with native grassland and cattle pastures. Despite having just 46 residents, Bushong keeps its own post office.
