Bushnell is a farming town of 2,677 people in west-central Illinois, sitting along US Route 136 about 20 miles west of Macomb. Most visitors arrive via Interstate 74 to the Macomb exit, then take US 136 west. The town serves as McDonough County's agricultural hub, surrounded by endless cornfields and prairie. Bushnell hosts the McDonough County Fair, featuring one of Illinois' oldest continuous demolition derbies since 1856.
