Bush is a tiny farming community in southern Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of Marion via Route 37. The area sits in rolling farmland typical of Williamson County, with corn and soybean fields dominating the landscape. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 57, exiting at Marion or Carterville and following state routes through the countryside. The Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois operates just southwest of town, serving general aviation. Bush retains its agricultural roots with several century-old family farms still working the original section roads from the 1800s.
