Burns is a tiny farming town of 397 people in southeastern Wyoming, about 45 miles from Cheyenne via Interstate 80 and Highway 215. The community sits among wheat fields and cattle ranches in Laramie County's rolling plains. Burns still operates one of Wyoming's few remaining one-room schoolhouses for local elementary students.
