Burlington Junction is a farming community of about 400 people in northwest Missouri, 15 miles from the Iowa border. Reach it via Highway 148 from Maryville (20 miles southeast) or take I-35 north from Kansas City to Cameron, then west on US-36. The town sits in rolling farmland where corn and soybeans dominate the landscape. Its post office has operated continuously since 1881.
