Burlington is a small farming town in west-central Indiana, sitting along the Wabash River about 25 miles from Lafayette. State Road 18 runs right through town east-west, while SR-75 provides north-south access. Most visitors are either passing through on agricultural business or heading to the nearby Purdue University area. The town's claim to fame is its 1869 covered bridge over Wildcat Creek that still carries traffic.
