Burley sits along Interstate 84 in south-central Idaho's farming country, about 100 miles southeast of Boise and 150 miles northwest of Salt Lake City. This agricultural hub serves surrounding ranch and farm communities, with Highway 27 connecting north to Rupert and Highway 81 running south into Utah. The town hosts the annual Idaho Regatta, where hydroplane boats race on the Snake River at over 200 mph.
