Burien is a King County city 15 miles south of Seattle and just 3 miles from Sea-Tac Airport, making it popular with travelers. I-5 runs along the eastern edge while SR-518 provides the main east-west connection through town to the airport. Local traffic uses Ambaum Boulevard and 1st Avenue South as primary north-south routes. The renovated Town Square hosts a Thursday farmers market from May through September.
