Burgin is a small railroad town in central Kentucky, about 35 miles southwest of Lexington via US Highway 150. Most visitors arrive from Lexington using the Bluegrass Parkway west to US 150, or from Louisville via the same parkway eastbound. The town of nearly 1,000 sits in rolling bluegrass country along the Kentucky River valley, with its restored 1920s railroad depot serving as a community center.
