Bunn is a small Franklin County town about 30 miles northeast of Raleigh, reached via US Highway 401 north through Wake Forest. This rural community of under 500 people sits in rolling Piedmont countryside near Triangle North Executive Airport. The town was named after Benjamin Hickman Bunn, who donated land for a railroad depot in 1881.
