Buffalo Lake is a small farming town in south-central Minnesota, sitting on the shores of its namesake glacial lake. Highway 4 runs right through the center of town, connecting to US 212 about 90 miles west of the Twin Cities. The surrounding Renville County landscape is classic Minnesota prairie with corn and soybean fields stretching to the horizon. The 1,800-acre Buffalo Lake offers excellent walleye and northern pike fishing from the public boat launch in the city park.
