Buffalo Gap is a small Texas town about 15 miles southwest of Abilene, reached via I-20 Exit 292 and FM 89 south. The scenic drive takes you through ranch country and rolling hills typical of this part of West Texas. Most visitors come from Abilene for the day, though some arrive via Abilene Regional Airport about 25 miles northeast. The town's main attraction is Buffalo Gap Historic Village, which houses the original Taylor County courthouse, relocated here stone by stone in 1883.
