Bucyrus is a tiny North Dakota prairie town of just 22 people in Adams County, accessible via Highway 21 about 15 miles south of Hettinger. Most visitors arrive on longer routes from Interstate 94 through Dickinson or Highway 12 from Montana, crossing the rolling wheat country of the northern Great Plains. Despite its minuscule size, Bucyrus maintains its official status as one of North Dakota's smallest incorporated cities.
