Bucklin is a small farming town in north-central Missouri, accessible via Highway 5 which runs north-south through the community. The town connects to US Highway 36 about 15 miles south, providing east-west access from larger cities like Chillicothe and St. Joseph. Most traffic consists of local trips to nearby Brookfield or longer journeys to Kansas City, 90 miles southwest. The historic grain elevator from the 1920s still towers over town as a working landmark.
