Buckley is a farming town of 422 people in east-central Illinois, about 20 miles southeast of Kankakee via Highway 24. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 57, exiting at Kankakee before heading east on Route 24. The town's grain elevator dominates the skyline and can be spotted from miles away across the flat prairie landscape.
