Buckingham Courthouse is a tiny county seat in rural Virginia, about 60 miles southwest of Richmond. US Route 15 runs right through town, connecting south to Farmville and north toward Maryland, while State Route 20 provides the main east-west link. Most visitors arrive via these rural highways that wind through rolling Piedmont farmland and forests. The 1822 brick courthouse still serves as the heart of this historic community.
