Buckeye is a tiny farming town of 75 people in central Iowa's Hardin County, about 15 miles northeast of Iowa Falls. Reach it via Highway 20 to Iowa Falls, then north on county roads. Most traffic comes from short trips to Iowa Falls or longer hauls on Highway 20 connecting Waterloo and Fort Dodge. The town's restored one-room schoolhouse operated from 1875 to 1967.
