Buchanan is a small Hudson River town in Westchester County, about 45 miles north of NYC via Route 9A. The nuclear plant's cooling towers make it instantly recognizable from the water. Most visitors arrive via the Saw Mill Parkway to 9A north, or from I-84 connecting through local roads to the riverside route.
