Bruce is a small town of about 1,500 people in north-central Mississippi's hill country. Highway 9 runs right through town and connects to Highway 32 at the main crossroads. Most visitors drive up from Jackson (90 miles south) or come from Memphis via I-55 and Highway 8. The annual Yalobusha River Festival celebrates the historic waterway that flows just east of town.
