Browning is the headquarters of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in northwestern Montana, positioned as the gateway to Glacier National Park's eastern entrance. Located along US Highway 2 about 60 miles east of Kalispell and 30 miles west of Cut Bank, the town serves both as a cultural center and jumping-off point for mountain adventures. The Museum of the Plains Indian houses an exceptional collection of Blackfeet artifacts and contemporary Native American art in a building that's been a cultural landmark since 1941.
