Browndale is a small borough in Wayne County's Pocono Mountains, about 30 miles from Scranton via I-380 and Route 191. Most visitors arrive from Scranton or the New York area using I-80 to I-380 north. The winding mountain roads can be tricky in winter, and EV drivers should charge up in Scranton first. The volunteer fire company's annual carnival is still the town's biggest event.
