Broussard is a small city just south of Lafayette in Louisiana's Acadiana region, easily reached via US Highway 90 or Interstate 10. The town serves as a suburban gateway to Lafayette's amenities while maintaining its own historic Acadian character. Most visitors arrive via Lafayette Regional Airport, about 15 minutes away. Downtown features several preserved 18th-century Acadian-style homes with their distinctive steep-pitched roofs and wraparound porches.
