Brookston is a tiny Minnesota community of about 100 people located 20 miles southwest of Duluth via Highway 210. Surrounded by dense northern forests, it experiences harsh winters with heavy snow and mild summers. The main access is Highway 210 west from Duluth, connecting to I-35 for longer trips. Despite its small size, Brookston maintains its own post office.
