Bronson is a small county seat in north-central Florida, about 50 miles southwest of Gainesville via US Highway 27. The town sits at the junction of US 27 and State Road 24, which leads west to Cedar Key on the Gulf Coast. Most visitors use US 27 to connect with Interstate 75 near Williston for longer trips. The restored 1908 courthouse downtown houses a museum showcasing the area's turpentine industry history.
