Brodnax is a small Virginia town of about 400 people in Brunswick County, sitting along US Route 58 between Richmond (60 miles northeast) and Raleigh (45 miles southwest). Most visitors arrive via US-58 from I-85 near South Hill or from Richmond via US-360. The town sits in rolling Piedmont country with a humid subtropical climate. Trains still rumble through downtown on the old Norfolk Southern line, passing right by Main Street shops.
