Brodhead is a small Wisconsin city near the Illinois border, accessible via Highway 11 west from Interstate 39 (15 miles) or north from Rockford via Highway 251. The Sugar River State Trail runs through downtown, offering 23 miles of hiking and biking to New Glarus. The restored 1881 railroad depot serves as the trail's headquarters and local history museum.
