Brockton is located 20 miles south of Boston along Route 24, which connects directly to I-93 and continues toward Rhode Island. The city sits at the intersection of several major routes including Route 27 (east-west) and provides easy access to I-495. It's known as the "City of Champions" for producing heavyweight boxing champion Rocky Marciano, whose statue stands downtown near City Hall.
