Broadlands is a farming town of about 270 people in eastern Illinois, reached via State Route 49 about 15 miles southeast of Champaign. Most visitors arrive from I-74, exiting at Ogden for the 10-mile drive south through corn and soybean country. The town's grain elevator along Route 49 still operates today, serving local farmers just as it has for generations.
