Bristol is a small panhandle town of about 1,000 people serving as Liberty County's seat. Located along the Apalachicola River, it's reached via State Road 12 from US Highway 98 or US 319 from Tallahassee (45 miles). The rolling terrain here differs from typical flat Florida landscapes. The 1907 Liberty County Courthouse remains one of North Florida's oldest continuously operating courthouses.
