Brinsmade is a farming town of 21 people in north-central North Dakota, about 15 miles southeast of Devils Lake. Take US Highway 2 west from Grand Forks (90 miles) or Fargo (160 miles), then turn north on County Road 1. The grain elevator serves as both a landmark and the community's economic center.
