Brighton is a tiny mountain community of 300 people in Salt Lake County, serving as the gateway to Big Cottonwood Canyon's ski resorts. Take I-215 to Exit 6, then follow 6200 South east as it becomes Big Cottonwood Canyon Road. The 45-minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City winds through residential areas into dramatic canyon walls. A historic stone entry marker at the canyon mouth marks your arrival at Utah's alpine playground.
