Briaroaks is a small Johnson County city of about 600 people, located 30 miles southwest of Dallas via I-35W and Highway 174. Most residents commute to the DFW metroplex for work, while local trips head to nearby Burleson or Cleburne. The volunteer fire department, established in 1979, operates from a single station that also serves as the community's main gathering place.
