Breaux Bridge is a small Cajun town of 7,500 people along Bayou Teche, about 10 miles northeast of Lafayette via I-10 Exit 109. The town sits where cypress swamps meet sugarcane country, accessible by US-90 and local parish roads that wind past live oaks and old plantations. It's officially Louisiana's Crawfish Capital and hosts a major crawfish festival each May.
