Braxton is a tiny Mississippi community of about 200 people in Simpson County, roughly 30 miles southeast of Jackson via Highway 28. Most folks reach it from Interstate 55, taking Highway 28 east through rolling pine country typical of the state's midsection. It's close enough to Jackson for day trips but remote enough that you'll want to charge your EV in the city first. The town sits near what was once the historic Choctaw boundary line.
