Brackenridge is a small river town 18 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, reached via scenic Route 28 along the Allegheny River. The 25-minute drive from Pittsburgh follows the historic river corridor through western Pennsylvania's rolling hills. Most visitors use Route 28 or connect from I-76 through New Kensington, making it popular with Pittsburgh commuters. The town features Brackenridge Park, home to one of America's oldest public golf courses from 1896.
